Get ur GOOD on
is a national movement to involve youth in doing good in their community. Youth Service America and Miley Cyrus have teamed up to sponsor this nationwide and the Youth Community Coalition and Youth Advisory Board are encouraging students to join in and serve right here in Columbia. Here’s briefly how it works:
- Form a team & select a service project
- Film a short video of your team in action
- Share your story with the community and the country
Videos will be submitted to the Youth Advisory Board to be posted on this website and also shared on the national Get ur GOOD on site. Stories about the projects will also be shared with local newspapers & media to highlight the positive actions of youth in Columbia.

Official Info:
- This is open to student groups. Elementary-High School.
- All groups must have an adult sponsor. (Teacher, parent, club leader, coach, etc.)
- Projects must be completed by May 15th to be eligible for the drawing.
- In order to be entered in the drawing, a project & video must be completed.
Video info:
- Video’s don’t have to be professional quality. Use what you have. (I Phone, camcorder, camera, etc.)
- Picture Slideshows will also be accepted.
- Videos can be submitted by mail to: Youth Community Coalition, 201 Switzler St., Columbia, MO 65203.
- Video permissions must be obtained by the student groups. (make sure everyone in the video is okay with sharing the video)
